Women’s Bible Study

Each Monday at 7 p.m., women gather together at Christ Community to explore the scriptures with one another.  Led faithfully by Fredda Holt, this group digs into God’s Word in a variety of ways that are interesting, challenging, and life-giving.  All women are welcome.  Contact Fredda Holt if you’d like more information, or just show up some Monday and join in on the discussion!

Men’s “Group 133”

“How good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell together in harmony.”  Psalm 133:1

Finding godly harmony means getting to know your brother, but in our fast paced world with packed schedules and countless commitments that can be difficult at best.  Well, that’s the purpose of “Group 133”. It’s an opportunity for men of the church to get to know one another and find that harmony God intends for us.  We gather monthly to explore issues of life and faith in a way that removes some of the typical barriers that men face or even put up for themselves.  All men are welcome to these gatherings – dates and locations change with each month.  Check out the calendar or e-mail David Denny or Pastor Jared to find our more information. 

Trees of Faith Women

“But blessed is the (wo)man who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him.  She will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream.  It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.”

Jeremiah 17:7-8

Trees need deep roots and plentiful water to survive.  We, like trees, live best when rooted in God’s love and watered by faith.  Women of all ages and stages welcome each month for an evening of support and fellowship as we explore how we can grow our roots and spread our branches in the midst of life’s droughts and storms.  Gatherings typically happen on the second Sunday beginning at 6:30 p.m.  They occur at a different individual’s homes each month so check out the calendar for more information and/or contact Heather Gutknecht for more information. 

T.G.I.F.(Thank God I'm 50)

This is an opportunity for adults 50 or older to connect in meaningful ways with others their age and in similar seasons of life.  Regular outings allow for conversation, connection, and the building of shared experiences.  Come enjoy the fruits of life together.  Check out the calendar for any upcoming events or contact Margaret DeBonis to get involved.   

Sunday Morning Adult Ed.

On Sunday mornings from 9 to 10 a.m. come explore different facets of faith and how God is at work in this world.  As adults our learning is far from over.  Spend time each Sunday not only gathering for worship but taking in the scriptures through study and thought provoking conversation with other believers on the journey of faith.  Adult Ed meets simultaneous with Sunday School where there are options if you have children from nursery care for your infants and toddlers to classes for children 3 years and older.

 In Home Bible Studies

An informal network of Bible Studies is a growing trend at Christ Community.  You need only make your desire known to get matched up with one.  This is a great way to explore your faith outside of Sunday morning.
